Monet Suite: A romantic suite with a wrought iron queen bed and claw-foot tub/shower. The beautiful free standing sink is from the historic Bellamy Mansion. Hand painted walls.

Pearl Buck Suite: A very sunny suite with a built in queen bed and futon couch. The black and white tile bath has a pedestal sink and spa tub for two. Hand painted walls. Fridge.

Kipling Suite: A charming suite with a wicker and iron queen bed in the bedroom of exposed brick and plantation shutters. The bath has a hand made mirror and a step in shower. Wet bar.

Segovia Suite: A spacious ground-floor suite with a mahogany bedroom set including a four-poster queen bed and leather lounge chair. The bathroom walls are painted by a local artist. Wet bar. Often requested by our business travelers.

Nutcracker Suite: Very cozy calming suite. Includes a maple bedroom set hand made in Vermont. There is also a sleep loft in this queen suite. Wet bar and large step-in shower.

Second Floor Suites:
You enter these larger suites from the front balcony through French doors. The balcony is very nice for relaxing or watching the sunset over the Cape Fear River. Click on the small photos to enlarge them and learn more.

Georgia O'Keeffe Suite: Large and beautiful with lots of art. There is a pleasant sitting area on the balcony directly outside this suite. The bedroom, painted in tavern buff and high desert teal, off the living area, has a king-size lodge pole bed with a two person spa tub directly adjacent. The living area, includes a comfortable sofa bed. There is Mexican tile and stained glass in the bathroom. Wet bar.

Molly Brown Suite: A pleasant suite that can accommodate up to four guests. The living area has two comfortable overstuffed chairs and a wet bar with bar stools. There is a beautiful iron queen bed from England, day bed with trundle in the bedroom. It is decorated with artifacts from Leadville CO. where Molly Brown lived.

Jacques Cousteau Suite: A fun, pastel colored suite with an interesting fish tank. This suite includes a queen bed, comfortable couch, hand crafted mother of pearl and Manta Ray skin armoire. Wet bar. A favorite with the movie people.

Hemingway Suite: Our most requested and "deluxe" suite. Locally-made king sleigh bed, wood burning fireplace with plenty of firewood, and a wet bar. Plantation shutters open into the bath with large spa tub for two and French doors open onto the private wrought-iron balcony, with peaks at the Cape Fear River.

Our New Suites:
After moving into the backyard cottage, the original living quarters were converted into three spacious and luxurious suites, inspired and named after three of our favorite types of gathering places. Opened in spring 2003, they are:

Bistro Suite: Sunny, romantic and spacious. One of a kind, hand painted king bed with French linens. French porcelain double sinks in full bath. Spa tub for two, wet bar and semi-private balcony with back garden views.
